The work is a homage to the home of Grace’s grandparents; a loving environment for three generations. The painting represents a bittersweet reminiscence upon the past as well as the uncertainty of the future.

Through her practice, Grace engages with concepts such as identity, memory and nostalgia and has been focused on expressing the intangible through physical forms and manifestations. Grace considers her practice a biographical exploration of her life thus far, with emphasis placed on navigating the grey area between childhood and adulthood.
