Fruit Cup

Taylah Curtis

Plump berries

Ready for the harvest

Blended and sold

Held in careless hands

Dropped, splattered, bruised

A spilled smoothie

Pink and sticky

Hope devoured

My cup runs empty

My soul is littered

With the footprints of others

You see me and pretend

To be appalled

But deep down you like it
