Miss the Moon

Rebekah Pouw

Reaching for the stars,

Staring at the sky,

Aiming for the heavens,

With every single try.

The stars seem so distant,

Yet their beauty shines so bright,

A celestial mystery,

In the stillness of the night.

We stretch and we reach,

To grasp their shining light,

Hoping to touch greatness,

We strive with all our might.

With each path we take,

We rise a little higher,

Closer to those shining jewels,

in the sky which we desire.

We may never reach them,

But the journey is the prize,

For reaching for the heavens,

Brings magic to our lives.
