Prelude

Magnolia Yang

In this world we made, lives only you and I

We are each our own profound power

You, the strong earth and I, the uncertain sky

On slow days, we lay beneath the willow bower

Hands kiss, and hold tight, Our embrace fresh

With the backdrop of a sun-kissed golden hour

Yet, sometimes you scathe my heart of flesh

Whilst I chip away at your heart of stone

And in the end, our broken pieces will enmesh

Becoming our world, a creation of its own

But as we continue to break and fall apart

Our hearts are harder to fix, forcing us to be alone

We say our final goodbyes and we depart

As our world shatters and we prepare for a new start
