A reflective episode on the messy social world of early adolescence: the “twelvie” phase of manifesting futures, girls fighting over the same boy, and the girl’s cringe-worthy attempts to hide feelings. Through rediscovered social-media memories and awkward confessions, the girl owns past petty behaviour, finds partial closure about a school-time triangle, and notices how group dynamics hardened the gap between them and the person they miss.
