Artist statement 

Of what once was is an energetic digital collage composed on photoshop. The scene navigates vivid ethereal layers transitionally bouncing off of one another narrating the growth and fashion development of the subject. Driven by the reminiscent iconography and imagery of the early 2000s, the work unpacks the busy and cyclical nature of pop culture. Of what once was discusses the impact that media elements we consume growing up has on our identity and the way we hold ourselves today.
