The Setting for the Fairytale

The Setting for the Fairytale

once upon a crescent sun

the sky broke a yolk

yellow cast from below

meridian reached

and tilted forth

to bathe late wakers

in its glow

the Sun dipped pink

as hands blushed with holding

left warm with longing

labored for love of land

the earth turned shy

colours of corners and cracks

Sun’s kiss had left

earth to suffer

a world sucked sour

and unblessed

the ground beneath

of mirrored blades blue

blessed by Moon’s

shy kiss

thinking of

Sun’s devoted

Moon’s inspiration

the sky bruised itself

to wait for day

to return the soils their lover –

Sun.
