Castles Made of Sad (2016) is a graphite drawing that was the beginning of my investigation into emotions and how they can be explored through expressive and surrealist art practice. Castles Made of Sad is a reference to the Jimi Hendrix song, incorporating elements of all those nostalgic teenage angst feelings I was going through at the time and the music that got me through those emotions.
