Inspired by Yves Klein’s blue trademark, the figures’ blue hands illustrate this spirituality bounded by the flamboyancy of the urban landscape. The decline of religion with modernity is apparent where more choose to affiliate to nothing, leading to this concept of a concealed spiritual belief. Despite the monochromacy of the figure amongst the loud graffitied wall, this series visually illustrates a sense of conservativeness, an inhibition, an enclosing portion of oneself.
