Ad Meliora is a meditation on toxic power imbalances and the kinds of roles we take on in these situations. This is the final victory of the demonised person, having taken the sanctified person’s king and thus won their freedom. And even though their sense of self crumbles as they push away the ‘angel’, ultimately the ‘demon’ is making their own way toward better things.
