It is finished

Written by Tori Brown

Artwork by Ava Ryan

One day, the waves will divide me
Sand scattered along the Adelaide shore

Where a heap is indistinguishable from a speck
Where two horses passed and two men returned

They found me before the waves did
Catalogued my organs
Carved a placeholder into headstone

Remains remade myth

A line ripped from the Rubaiyat
A suitcase of clothes, tags torn
And a plaster cast with three hairs caught

Unidentified, unknown, uncountable
Sand falling through hands
