The red stamps are a physical depiction Mikami’s Japanese heritage, whereas the white rocky surface below is a representation of her western heritage. The stamping of an individual’s surname is significant in Japanese culture as it used as a signature. The overwhelming number of stamps is a conceptual visualisation of acceptance of self and culture.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
