Grace Yap is a Brisbane (Meanjin) based visual artist that uncovers themes of identity, memory, and the transition from childhood to youthhood through her practice. Yap is seen embracing these introspective concepts through various mediums such as; clay, paint, digital media, and installation. Yap’s work is seen to be intimate and vulnerable as it offers a glimpse into the artist’s mind, as both the artist, and muse. Yap aims to create spaces for contemplation, introspection, and evoke a shared experience amongst viewers.
